Sharing Knowledge to Build a Culture of Health Conference

Daniel Lau, MPH, Manager of Strategic Engagement, attended Sharing Knowledge to Build a Culture of Health Conference in Louisville, KY in February.

In late February 2017, RWJF (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation) and AcademyHealth convened their second annual Sharing Knowledge conference. This invitation-only event gathered a cross-sectoral community to help build a transdisciplinary evidence base to build a Culture of Health. Experts across sectors discussed innovative research design, new methodological approaches, and how to translate evidence into action.

Daniel Lau, Manager of Strategic Engagement, attended the conference on behalf of the Network. He participated in sessions on strategies for increased community engagement, hospitals as anchor institutions, and challenges and opportunities in the new political administration. The event highlighted the city of Louisville, KY as a 2016 Culture of Health Prize winner and their achievements in building a Culture of Health and improving health outcomes.
