Ashauntee Jones earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in Pan-African Studies from California State University: Los Angeles. With strong dedication and passion, Jones received the honor of Cum Laude. With a charismatic drive and a genuine approach, Jones briefly utilized a year of her undergrad toward mentoring high-school students all over Los Angeles County. This time served as the catalyst for her desire to pursue higher education. In that experience she gained firsthand knowledge and an awakened awareness of the status of marginalized communities throughout the county. Due to that experience with the youth her sociological focus shifted to the structures that mold the society, policies, and the reality that the population faces daily. Whether it be through organizations, programs, or community servicing – the goal is to be of service and create safe spaces for diversity. In conjunction with her full-time work, she is pursuing her MPA at the University of La Verne with intention of expanding her understanding and ability to assist the public.
