Blanca Corona is an intern at Build Healthy Places Network while completing her Master’s Degree in Public Health at San Jose State University. Blanca has a bachelor’s degree in Health Education, with an emphasis in Community Based Public Health from San Francisco State University. Currently, she works at the California Department of Public Health as a Health Educator III for the Immunization Branch. She provides information and education to California providers and local health departments about vaccines, programs, and events.
Blanca has worked in the public health field for nine years, Her work has focused on reducing health disparities in BIPOC communities through policy advocacy for the expansion of health care for all, outreach and education, and leading communication campaigns in the nonprofit sector, prior to joining CDPH.
Blanca is married and has a 6 month old baby. In her free time, she loves going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in Spanish and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
